A few weeks ago, we shared the audio recordings of Dr. Yolanda Cintron’s first of a three-part appearance on Conny’s Health & Fitness Show on Boca Raton’s WWNN. Now we present the audio of her second visit to the radio show where the discussion focused on the dangers that can develop in your mouth, especially oral cancer.
There is a misconception that tobacco users are the only people who can get mouth cancer. While people who smoke and chew tobacco have an elevated risk of developing oral cancer, it can happen to anyone. By the time very obvious symptoms appear it may be too late to reverse the damage. Keeping up with your preventive dental visits twice a year, where your holistic dentist will perform a thorough examination of your mouth to look for warning signs of oral cancer, is the smartest method of prevention.
“Dr. Cintron is just an enormous blessing to me and to my patients. She is practicing at a level that is right at the top of all the biological dentists we have.” – Comment from a caller on Conny’s Health & Fitness Show
How Can You Detect Oral Cancer?
Do you have oral cancer? Only your dentist can tell you for sure. In Dr. Cintron’s office, a saliva testing is done by taking a swab of the tissue. She also checks the joints and tissues under the tongue looking for discoloration, nodules, or any suspect areas. With new patients, Dr. Cintron also takes a comprehensive medical history and reviews nutritional habits. She also offers biocompatibility testing.
The terrifying reality of oral cancer is that by the time obvious symptoms appear, the cancer is at an aggressive and often irreversible stage. Dr. Cintron explains that it is a lethal and rapid cancer, and it’s very important for people to visit their dentist regularly.
The Connection Between Mercury and Cancer
The radio discussion also focused on mercury toxicity, particularly the mercury found in amalgam or “silver” fillings. Having mercury in your system can increase your chances of developing cancer. Your mouth is the gateway to your body – and whatever is in your mouth is going into your bloodstream, bones, brain, everywhere.
Dr. Cintron and the other radio show guests not only talked about oral health, but overall health and wellness, touching on topics like genetic testing, nutrition, and biochemical pathways. You can discuss any of these topics with Dr. Cintron when you schedule an appointment with her at Fort Lauderdale’s International Center for Dental Excellence.
